We can offer assessments and beginner through to advanced training in the use of computer magnification or screenreaders. A screenreader converts the written text to speech output for a blind person to hear or read with a braille display.
We can teach people how to:
- Bank or shop online
- Use social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Skype and blogging
- Use their Apple or Android mobile devices
- Use a braille display for more effective reading and writing
- Identify and learn to use preferred Ebook readers and resources
- Read and write braille.
We can organise a lot of training over the telephone and Skype. If you live in Otago New Zealand, or have funding for travel, we can come to you. We also have a local assessment and training room. Please contact us for further discussion.
We have had experience in training children and adults of all ages. We have worked with teachers, tertiary students, professionals and community groups.
